High reliability and increased replacement interval

New brake fluids Bosch ENV4 ENV6

Designed and tested in accordance with the requirments of modern and future braking systems.

  • New brake fluids meet modern and future standards
  • Braking fluids ENV4 and ENV6 have a high boiling point along with a low viscosity
  • ENV6 allows to increase the brake fluid replacement interval

Modern brake systems are becoming more powerful, while the response time of ABS and ESP® systems is declining. Changing conditions make to tighten the requirements for the properties of the brake fluid. New brake fluids from Bosch - ENV4 and even more technological ENV6, - ensure the reliable operation of brake systems, even at the limit of technical capabilities. This is achieved, first of all, due to the reduced viscosity and higher boiling point of new liquids from Bosch in comparison with similar products of the DOT standard. In addition, the high lubricity of the Bosch ENV6 fluid makes it possible to reduce both the noise level during operation and the wear of the ABS and ESP® systems. Finally, new fluids reduce the likelihood of corrosion on the inner surface of brake pipes and mechanisms.

The improved performance of the new ENV6 brake fluid allows a significant increase in the life of the brake. Normal brake fluids of the DOT4 standard are subject to full replacement every two years, while for ENV6 the interval is increased to three years.

Another advantage of the new ENV6 brake fluid is full compatibility with existing systems. It can be used in all brake systems of cars manufactured since 1990, which use brake fluids on a polyglycol basis. The only exception is systems that work with LHM brake fluids based on mineral oils, or with liquids containing silicone (DOT5).

Increased safety: lower viscosity, higher boiling point

The reaction time of the electronic system ESP® largely depends on the viscosity of the brake fluid. The lower this value, the less time is required to trigger ESP®. The viscosity of the brake fluid ENV decreased averaged in 9% than the DOT4 liquids - below 700 mm² / s.

High boiling point is another important parameter that indicates the quality of the brake fluid. The higher the boiling point, the lower the risk of formation of vapor bubbles during the operation of the brake system. The appearance of such vapor bubbles in the hydraulic circuit is the main reason for the failure of the brakes. The boiling point of the "wet" brake fluid Bosch ENV6 is 185 degrees Celsius. This parameter allows us to talk about a 50 percent increase in the safety of the braking system by reducing the risk of steam. The fluid boiling point ENV4 also exceeds the characteristics of the standard DOT4 fluid and is 175 degrees Celsius. The combination of high boiling point and low viscosity increases the safety and reliability of the braking system.

The improved operational qualities of brake fluids reflects the design of the package: ENV4 and ENV6 are presented within the Bosch Black Line product line, which includes products with a higher level of characteristics.

Testing in the Bosch test center

Experts of the Bosch test center in Abstat (Germany) conducted a series of complex tests for liquids ENV4 and ENV6. The test results demonstrate the perfect compatibility of new brake fluids with modern and future ABS and ESP® systems. The program included tests to increase the pressure in the system, to wear components and generate noise, as well as tests under extreme temperature conditions.

Analysis of the results showed compliance with ENV4 all modern requirements of automakers. The ENV6 fluid meets all applicable standards, such as DOT3, DOT4, DOT5.1, ISO Class 6, and the requirements of all major vehicle manufacturers.

The development of modern driver assistance systems in the future will change the requirements for the components of the braking systems. New brake fluids ENV meet these requirements today.

An additional advantage of new liquids for car service centers is that the new Bosch ENV brake fluids are not dangerous and are not included in the list of components contained in the Hazardous Substances Regulation.
